This December, Sandy will be travelling to Cambodia to take part in the Reverse Tuition Program — a life-changing initiative that supports children’s education through the simple gift of rice.

On 4th December, Sandy will spend the day at ABCS and Rice School, helping to distribute rice to children who have maintained good attendance records. For these students and their families, this rice is more than food — it’s motivation, hope, and a reward for learning.

💡 Rice is their paycheck. Being a kid is their job.

The Reverse Tuition Program turns education into opportunity. Children who attend school regularly earn rice to take home — ensuring their families have food on the table and they stay in the classroom.

🎒 How it works:

For every $30 donated, 25kg of rice is provided — enough to support up to five children and their families. This rice is given as an incentive for consistent school attendance, helping to keep children learning and dreaming instead of working to survive.

In many rural parts of Cambodia, poverty often forces children to leave school early to help earn money or care for siblings. The Reverse Tuition Program helps break that cycle — turning education into nourishment and hope.
